Me

Hi!

My name is Luka Kralj and I come from Slovenia. I'm currently in my 4th year of an MSci Computer Science course at King's College London.

I love tackling the logic part of applications and backend development. My greatest interests lie in various strands of artificial intelligence and in writing secure and high quality software.

My hobbies, apart from telling computers what to do, also include playing volleyball and reading about the latest discoveries in other STEM fields.

Projects

"The best way to learn is to do." ~ Paul Halmos

I love applying knowledge from the lectures in practice to build any project I have on my mind. I am also keen to research a new piece of technology I stumble upon while implementing my ideas.

Working on such projects allows me to brush up on my technical skills as well as on many interpersonal skills when working on group projects.

Competitions

What's better than working alone, is winning with your friends. I love attending hackathons because my friends and I get to experiment with new software tools to bring our ideas to life. Each hackathon ends with project presentations which helps me grow my public speaking and presentation skills.

Competing also allows me to train myself in finding good problem solutions in a short time period and effectively implementing them. On top of that, I can also learn a lot from other people at the competition.

I am most experienced in working on the backend and system design but I look forward to other challenges of software engineering, as well.

I am most proficient in Java, NodeJS, Python, C++ and MySQL programming languages, but I have also worked with C, C#, PHP, and others.
